Aunt Lily lived with her brother in Warrenby. Because of the fact they only had a small yard they did not have a convential shelter they had a Table Shelter. The table was made special and was about the size of a large dinning room table with a top made of about 20 millimetre steel plate with obviously heavy steel legs. When the siren went my Aunt Lily and her brother went downstairs into the table shelter. After about twenty minutes her brother said 'I'll go out into the kitchen ( I don't know what he went for but went for something) The moment he got into the kitchen a bomb landed outside in the yard. The house collapsed and he was killed instantly. Aunt Lily was dug out after three hours totally unscathed. Thank to the table shelter.
