When we were evacuated I Was five years old and my brother 8 years old. I remember it as a great adventure at the time but of course because we were children we did not think of the severity of the situation.
Eventually because of snow, we were not able to attend school there so, we were moved to Hartington near Dovedale.

I am now living in New Zealand, I am visiting my brother in Wiltshire and also visiting cousins who live locally.
