My story begins in 1954 when I was born the youngest son of George Miller and Adje Wolff. They met in Helmond outside the door of 9 Bijstervield in 1943 he was in the then East Lancashire Regiment a Sergent and the gaffer of a small group of men and bren carriers. She was younger the oldest sister of a family of seven, her father Yohann Wolff was Helmonds clerk of works I think and her mother a hard working wife. Her brothers to young to fight before the war had been recruited by the Nazis as young workers and sent to various workcamps her sisters leved at home.
A strange twist of fate would be unearthed some years later at the death of my fathers sister Eidy Conner nee Miller my cousins in Manchester found a form that stated that my grandfather George Miller had changed his name from Muller.
