Hi Ron,
Thanks for the post.
My Mum and I are extremely thrilled to see My Grandpa's diary on the website.
I printed off your information to give to My Mum and we will be looking through all your pics.
My Grandpa died when I was 5 (now 32) but it is comforting to hear that one of his fellow servicemen is still around to give others an insight into why we should never forget.
There is more of the diary if you would be interested and also alot more photo's including the ones My Grandpa took by appointment, of the visit from Churchill and his daughter and son to Bniyusef, Fayoum Road Parade.
Thanks again
Kirsten Collins

Dear Kirsten
Thanks for the reply.
Might I suggest a few more articles from you, each one headed by one of your Dad's photos?
Regards to your Ma

Ron

Message 4 - Excerpts from Victory Diary 1943

Hi Ron,
I will tell me Mum your suggestion.
I am sure she will be interested. My Mum made the diary up by retyping from the orginals and then adding the photo's he had taken at the time to the corresponding dates and places. She has sent several copies to newspapers, historical societies and schools.
We also have an ashtray and a tank that he made from a shell and a german tank during the lonely times he spent away from our family.
I read some of your post this morning. I think it is fab that we are able to access this information from the website and that you are as computer literate as you are.
Thanks for making our weekend.
Kirsten x
