Trevor turned 18 years old on 11th May 1943. Within 14 days he had had his medical and 3 weeks later was in the army.
In March 1944 he was building decoy Landing Craft in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. During this time German aircraft regularly flew overhead photographing the build up of landing craft, to make the Germans think the second front would be opened after a North Sea attack.
He was sent to Central Europe (Holland & Germany) on 13th February 1945.
When the war ended, Trevor was on a 3-day leave in Brussels.
