Come into my outstretched arms my dearest,
Then let me hug you very tight.
It seems so long that we've been apart,
Missed you so desperately, every day and night.

It broke my heart when I must leave you,
And I knew you felt the same,
But when duty calls one must obey,
Those 'Tyrants' one must try to tame.

The days turned into weeks, and onwards into months,
Even passing hours seemed immeasureably long,
I had no doubt that you would wait for me,
Because our love was true and really strong.

So, my duties now have been fulfilled,
At last my leisure time is free,
How sweet of you to be there darling,
Waiting at the station gates - For ME!
