One of our planes came down in the marshes near to Laneham. Two parachuted out, one landed in a carrot field, the second one landed at Hardwick on top of Harold Saxby's cow shed. He fell through the skylight and when the cowman came to work to feed the cows he cound the airman and parachute in the cowshed.

The farmer and stockman took him to the ARP warden. Sergeant bishop then coolected the airman and arranged for him to be taken back to his base.
