During the war my grandad was a paratrooper in North Africa and did lots of exciting things (to him) like running about and jumping out of aeroplanes. One day he was ordered to drive a superior officer somewhere which was all very well except that he couldnt drive. He had a go anyway and ends up backing up over this blokes donkey. Needless to say the unfortunate creature was killed instantly and the Arab gentleman in question was rather peeved. Its alright though my grandad would tell us because we gave him a tin of bullly beef as compensation.
