During the Manchester blitz we would go down to the cellar. I remember my Mother was terrified, but I was only 13 so I wasn't very scared.
My school life was disrupted by the war. I went to Cheadle Hulme for one year. While we were there the new school was flattened and so we never went there again and had to attend seperate schools across the city.
