NB Thi story is unfinished and should not be used.

My mother lived in Merseyside when war broke out.
They lived near a park and one evening she went for a walk with her parents and older sister. She was about five or six.
She remembers an air raid starting as they walked, and bombs falling. The family started to run home, trying to take shelter in the park as they went.
My mother remembers their dog thinking the running and hiding was a game, and running between each person.
She remembers being more upset by the dog not realising the danger than the real danger the family was in.
