I was on the last boat to leave Jersey with my Mother Father and brother I was 2 nearly three. We came to Southampton. We were only allowed 2 suitcases. We travelled to Swansea where my Mother was born. I went back to Jersey after the War. The States of Jersey put us up in flats which had been German Barracks. I shook hands with Field Marshall Montgomery, as did all the children on the island. All the children were presented with a Liberation Medal.
