Mr Alan Gray, my husband's grandad, joined what became the 95th Regiment RA in 1938. Based in Coventry he served in Scapa Flow and India, and was training for the imminent invasion of Japan when the H bombs were dropped and the war ended. This is the story of his war, told in his own words.
