My name is Gwendoline Field and ive been married to Robert Field for seven years and we live in Ukfield . For about 10 years we have have run a youth club in our house on a Friday evening for ages between 14- 30 (The Friday Followers).
My late father was known to Radio Brighton, his name was Ralph Stent and he broadcast on various subjects on Old Brighton e.g A 'Walk along Western Road', 'The Dyke Railway', and transport and the Brighton Piers including the Chain Pier when it blew down. I also have copies of these tapes, if Southern Counties are interested in playing them.
I have always been interested in loocal history and this WW2 project has brought memories for me when i was a school girl and when i first went to work.
