I think history is fascinating as a window on the past. Everyone has stories to tell about their lives and the things that mean a lot to them.
As a child, I listened to my dad's memories of the war with great interest and liked to hear them repeated. Fancy a bomb exploding outside his house!
Such memories become part of family history, which is why it is so important to preserve them,to tell them again.
