As a boy I went by the name of Norm and I was a Portslade schoolboy atttending St Nicholas and Benfield Schools during WW2. Born in 1934 in time to be thrilled by Hitler's follies, and in time to suffer rationing!
I had two older brothers and one younger one, and my sister was the eldest of us all. I was born in No. 1 Gardener Street, Portslade, and we moved to 54 Wolseley Road when I was 6.
