I was born in Jessups Hospital in 1937, and originally lived in Gleadless, just outside the city boundary. In 1943 we moved to Glenalmond Rd, Ecclesall, and the family grew. I attended Greystiones Primary School, and later had two years at King Edwards. My family then moved to east Sussex in 1950.
