My name is Jason Clark and I am currently writing a brief history on my late grandfathers regiment the 53rd(London)Medium Regiment.
My grandfather was called Edward George Shopland. As a young man he joined the 53rd(London)Medium Regiment which was a T.A. unit based in Islington, North London. He rose to the rank of B.Q.M.S..
Sadly he passed away in October 2002 at the age of eightyeight.
However over the years he told me much of his war time experiences.
I would love to hear from anybody who served with my grandfather or from familes of exmembers of the Regiment as this would greatly help me to write my brief history of the Regiment.
