Hello: I am one of the many war babies born after the war in England. My Mother was british and in the WLA where she met her husband and USA Airman, my Father.
My Mother, IVY ROBERTS, was I believe stationed in Peasenhall. She passed March 2003 very unexpectedly and we just ran out of time in discussing many events in her past life, her days in the WLA being one of them.
I am so proud of her for being part of this historic and brave group of women.
I would welcome hearing from anyone who might have known her during this time and can share any stories or details. I recently read an article by Donna Button who surprizinly mentioned my mother in her article - researcher #245136 posted on the WW2 Peoples War and would love to hear from her.
