My name is Gerald Jackson. I am a 大象传媒 Producer and live in Blackburn Lancashire. My late Mother and Father, Nat and Rosa Jackson, came from Leeds in West Yorkshire. They married in Leeds during the war and had their wedding delayed three times as Dad couldn't get leave!
My Father was in the REME, and played in their band. He played violin and the musical saw.
When I was very little (1955 I think)he had a reunion at our home in Leeds for his REME friends. I only remember one name from those who came - the author John Prebble.
I have some unique recording of the REME band made for them in Germany at the end of the war by a travelling 大象传媒 outside broadcast truck.
My Father died in 1970 and Mum passed away around 6 years ago. I have no contact with any of their contemporaries - and would love to hear from anyone who does.
