My name is Alan Rudd i am 71yrs old and live with my Wife in Suffolk, but i was born in Norfolk in 1932 , so i have some very good memories of the war years, i lived in The Village
of Old Buckenham with my mother & father and brothers &( sister) who sadly died just after the war started,another sister was born during the war. I went to Old Buckenham Area School as it was known then,it was a new big modern school opened just before the war started.I left Old Buckenham at the end of the war, sadly my parents never saw the end of the war, my father died as a result of an accident in Febuary 1945, my mother died on VE day May 8th 1945. I then went to live with my Uncle and Aunt at Garboldisham, Norfolk.
