it is very difficult to write about oneself - except on the context of events and places, which is why I have written the piece about growing up in wartime Britain. That period of my life has made me uneasy about wars - I often wonder how much they achieve, especially since WW2 came so relatively soon after the War to end all wars! What happens to us in childhood can have an effect on the whole of the rest of our lives. Hope this is not too serious! I do have a fun side as well and have over the years enjoyed acting and producing, but now confine myself to more sedentary pursuits - writing and painting.
