My mother was born in 1912 and my father in 1906. He worked for the Inspectorate of Naval ordnance in Woolwich. In the war he was sent to Canada to liaise with the Canadian Pacific Railways in the production of munitions for the war effort. My mother's story described the beginning of this adventure for her and myself as a baby. We travelled as a family from Vancouver to Calgary, where we lived for some time and then to Hamilton Ontario. We returned home in a convoy and I was able to attend a VE party at Uplands School Church Road Bexleyheath.
My Mother died in her 91st year, but this story was written by her for the U3A, so I would like it to be included in the 大象传媒 archive.
