Many people of my age (73) grew up during World War 2 and some experienced the horrors of the blitz first hand. I feel it is necessary to let the younger members of our families and young people in general know what we experienced. Today it is too easy to look at unreal TV programmes and DVDs where wounding and killing are commonplace. In real life such events are traumatic and cannot be ignored. Perhaps it may help people to be more understanding and respectful of each other.
