I am interested in the war and recently started to look into the regiment that my uncle was in. Fife and Forfar Yeomanry. He was killed in 1944.

It is close to me because my father never got our his brothers death and i was named after him.

I have discovered an amazing amount of information some of which my father never managed before he died three years ago.

The Association is in Cupar, Fife Scotland but was was really amazing was that when i telephone the association i was advised that there is a Southern association in my home town of Poole in Dorset. How spooky is that?

I have also spoken with three surving crew that landed at Juno beech with Pat in 1944.

This weekend rememberance day, we have been invited out to Etrepagny in France where he fell on the 29.08.44 by the Mayor whom i met by chance this August 29.08.04 60 years on.

The welcome we received was very moving and the first time that the locals had ever met any of the families of the five that are burried in their local cemetry.
