My late father, Jack Chapman, was in the 2nd Devonshire Regiment on D-Day and was later wounded and subsequently captured. He was at Stalag XIIA on 11th August 1944. He may also have been in Stalag XIB and was at Stalag IVB in the final months of the war. I am trying to find as much information as I can about this time in his life so I can show my children and grandchildren the contribution he and all the other veterans made to the freedom we enjoy today.
