I spent World War 2 in Sri Lanka, then Ceylon, as a schoolgirl.

Later I married and had 12 children. My husband was an Inspector of Excise in Sri Lanka.

Now I live in the UK, and my children are scattered around the world! Six are in Sri Lanka including my three eldest, and six live in other countries America, Holland, Australia, including my two youngest being here in the UK.

I would be interested to hear from anybody else who lived in Sri Lanka during the War.
