Last year, my daughter Sarah did a project about Life in Britain during World War 2. She spent a lot of time looking in books, searching the internet and interviewing my parents who both lived through the war years.
She produced a good piece of work and we would like to share the interviews with you. Unfortunately, we can't add the whole project as there are so many pictures in it. My parents are aware of what we are doing and have given their consent.
Here is Sarah's introduction to the interviews.
INTERVIEWS
I asked my grandparents about what life was like for them during the war - Nan was a child and Granddad a teenager. I asked questions about how their lives changed and how they coped with rationing, schooling and life in the air raid shelters. My Granddad told me he had joined Royal Air Force towards the end of the war so I asked him additional questions about his life in the service.
