Stories relating to my father and an account of some of his actions leading up to him receiving the Military Medal and hoping to find anybody who new him. My fathers name Sgt G. W. (Tiny) Baldwin he was with the 8th Rifle Brigade, 11th Amoured Div. He won his MM on 17th April 1945, when approaching the x-roads North of Barum on the Uelzen-Luneberg road.
Since this brief introduction, I have been contacted by Eric Patience who served with my father during the later part of WW2. He has told me of some of the incidents that they went through together, of which I have records of. I would be honoured to hear from anybody else who new and served with my father during WW2. I hope be shortly putting some more information on this site, with hopefully some more names.
