I was born well away from London (In Scotland where my Mum had a relative) in Jan 1941, but, thinking the blitz was over, my mother took me back to Fulham in April 1941. My Dad was in a reserved occupation - making aircraft parts. I lived in Fulham till 1964, when I moved to Birmingham and then to Wakefield where I still live with my wife of 38 years.
