Was 18 when war was declared .Lived through the blitz on London .Served 4 years in Royal Signals in Algeria , Tunisia , Sicily and Italy . Demobbed 1946 . Married in 1947 to Eileen ,had 3 children and 51 memorable years ,until she died in 1998 .
