We are based in Pickering, North Yorkshire and we are an associate centre for the 大象传媒 WWII People's War project. Over the last 3 years we have run oral and military history projects relating to the men & women of Ryedale and the district itself. We are slowly transcribing interviews and editing them for adding to the 大象传媒 website. We are looking for more volunteers to get involved with these tasks & themes with us.

In 2005 we will be running open learning days and displays about the WWII People's War project.
In October Pickering holds 'Wartime Weekend' the largest 1940's themed event in Europe, for re-enactors & enthusiasts. Organised by the ever popular North York Moors Railway, the event is well worth attending. The museum holds a display of wartime artefacts and has a static vehicle display each year.
