I am a United States citizen, retired, married and have children and grandchildren. I served time in the Merchant Marine and U.S. Naval Reserve

One of my hobbys is reading and researching the history of warfare. During WWII one of my grandfathers was in the U.S. Army Air Force, Flight Training Command, and my father was a paratrooper in the U.S. 17th Airborne Division, European Theater.

My son is a career T/Sgt. in the U.S. Air Force, Finance Command.

I have posted on this website a short story of my father's experience during 'Operation Varsity,' the largest airborne assault in history in support of the allied invasion of Germany crossing the Rhine.
