Alan Forster (1917-93), my father's youngest brother, was a POW at Fort Rauch from 1940-44.

I am interested in exchanging information with relatives of persons who were at Fort Rauch during this period.

I have scans of some 30 photographs taken at Fort Rauch and sent home with letters. I have also traced descriptions of the camp in published books.

I can be contacted direct by e-mail at: bill@fischer-balcke.de

Alan was later moved to Stalag VIIIB Teschen and I have transcribed the diary he kept whilst working at a coal mine (E702 Klimontow) and on the trek west away from the advancing Soviet forces in the closing months of the war. I have published this diary as several linked stories beginning at A7257099

I would also welcome further information about the E702 Arbeitskommando at Klimontow and the trek south west through Bohemia (The Czech Protectorate) to Regensburg in Bavaria.
