Jean and I shared 62 wonderful years together until 8th.October 2002.We met on a fair ground Carousel on 9th. November 1940 & were engaged on the 18th. December 1940 while stationed at Prudhoe on Tyne. We married on the 12th.May 1941 at Hexham.
It woud be great to hear from any survivors of A platoon, 556 Field Coy. R.E. I have a photo of the Platoon taken at Wesembeek-Ophem October 1944.I hope to get it inserted into my Sid and Jean story that was submited by Helen Hughes Because the story of 556 Field Coy. Was submitted by Helen I have been unable to add to the article or insert the photo.
