2004 was a year to remember for me. After 44 years of searching I found my family in the USA. Last August I made a memorable trip to meet up with 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Sadly my father died 25 years ago but he told all his family about his affair in England and the child he left behind.
During my stay I kept a journal which on my return to Spain where I moved to in 2003 from Billericay, Essex, I sent each and every member of my new family a copy. Since then numerous friends and colleagues have asked to read it - the majority of which have said it should be published and even made into a film.
The title of this journal is the subject of this "Once a Nobody now a Somebody" which is exactly how I feel.
