Not much.

I know precisely nothing about the English family's involvement in the War, and so have nothing to start from, and therefore not really much interest.

However, my Finnish family was scarred terribly by the War. They came from a pretty seaside town called Terijoki on the Karelian Isthmus. Then the war came. My family was entirely displaced. Except for one - my grandmother's father never made it into "mainland" Finland. I guess we'll never know what happened to him.

Terijoki is now called Zelenogorsk.

I have recently started looking into the history of my family's displacement, and would love to hear from anyone who knows more about Terijoki, or what actually happened to lead my family to leave everything they knew.

Is there anyone out there who also went to Hyvink盲盲?
Did anyone know the Monto family from Terijoki?
What happened to them?
