My name is Delia McDonagh and I worked in West Bromwich Hospital during the war years. I married Roy Lowndes in 1953 and we have 3 children, Delory, Susan and Simon and 2 grandchildren, Christopher and Jamie. As I am sure you can calculate, we celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary this year.
We have lived in Birmingham for all of our married life. Three of my sisters also came over from Ireland to work in the Midlands as nurses, May, Lillie and Josie.
