I was born in London in 1917 after leaving school I joined the Sun Insurance Office and the T.A. in 1934, then the Dorset Regiment in 1939 where I rose to the rank of Major.
I left the army in 1956
I am now 87 years old and posting my memories on this site with the help of my daughter.

I would also like to thank David Lee for his help and support.
