My Dad gave me his memoirs to type up and it was great to hear the old stories again of growing up in war time Redditch. Redditch has changed almost beyond recognition since his childhood but some of the places he's described can still be seen if you know where to look.

I hope to write my own soon about growing up in Redditch during the 70s.

My Grandfather (on my mother's side) Ted Wise, was in the Royal Navy. He spent 1932 out in Hong Kong and I have some of his photos which can be seen on my web page. He served on a number of ships including the Argos and the Cornwall. Some of the ships I have photos of served in WW2 which may be of interest to readers researching ships of their relatives.
