Hi. I first became interested in WW2 when I was in year 6, (age 11). I'm fascinated by it, i dont know why! i just love the history and the fact that everyday you see or meet someone who was involved some way or another! Now, whenever i see an elderly person i think, 'they might of been involved, they must have seen things i could never possibly imagine. What kind of things did they experience?' and i feel guilty, because I take everything for granted and if it wasn't for them we would all be speaking German (i guess some of us do anyway though)and my life would be totally different. I am doing history GCSE's mainly because I am so fascianted by it all. But at the moment we're doing the Weimar government and the rise of the Nazis, (which, although is interesting, is also disgusting!) I have no idea when we will do WW2, I think it is next year! In year 6 we had to do a project about WW2 and i interviewed my grandparents and Great Uncle Frank. I was amazed at what they went through, i had no idea before i asked them.
If anyone may of known uncle Frank or been in his regiment please contact me on cat18_12lux@hotmail.com
