I was born in Scotland in July 1961.
I have been a resident of Canada since April Fools Day 1988.
For over 20 years now I have been researching my Family Tree with enormous success. In parallel with my own tree I have also been doing my wife's Family Tree.
I now have over 500 people on the tree which equates to 163 families.
Recently via the internet I have tracked down long lost relatives from Northern Ireland to Australia and back.
An important part of my research is to be able to write biographies on as many family members as possible and also to obtain photographs. My newly found long lost relatives have been very helpful in this respect.
Another aspect of my research is to find out as much as possible about relatives killed in wars. I personally have four relatives who gave their lives in war.
Using many sources this too has proved to be successful.
An interesting result of this activity is that I have become a researcher for many people who contact me by email. They want me to research details about their relatives killed in war or they want my help to track down long lost relatives.
So all this keeps me interested and very busy, I do enjoy it.
