My grandfather Leonard Sharp was in the Royal Artillery during the fighting in Burma. He used to enjoy talking about the machines involved which I think came from his involvement with heavy machines as a farmer.
If anyone has any information about Lance Bombardier Leonard Sharp or the 10th Field Regiment, Royal Artillery, British 2nd Division I would be very interested.
My Nana Joan Hilda Harper was in the Women's Auxiliary Air Force and spent most time at Irlam with 926 Squadron as part of Balloon Command and at RAF Upavon, Wiltshire with No.7 Flying Instructors School.
My great uncle Eric Ronald Harper was in Bomber Command and was stationed at RAF Waddington and RAF Bottesford. His plane crashed and burnt on 14.01.42 at Holmpton, East Yorkshire when returning from a raid on Hamburg.
I would be extremely grateful if anyone has any information on Sergeant (Observer) Eric Ronald Harper or 207 Squadron, 5 Group, Bomber Command, Royal Air Force.
Thanks
