I have placed this short memorial to Eric my 'Uncle' ( my mothers' brother in law) who died in very sad circumstances at the end of last year.2002
As stated in the text, Eric was reticent about is wartime experiences but they had an important influence both on him and me.
I had always wanted him to try to chronicle his experiences and add his work on the injustices of 'LMF, on which he did a considerable amount of research.
I have not wanted to bother members of his family. His daughters have had enough to cope with as Kathleen his widow is now very frail and needs constant care. In time I hope my cousin Liz might help with this.
It was the snippet of information picked up at Eric's funeral early last year that I felt this opportunity to remember him should not be lost .
