My name is David Roberts, I am retired and live in West Sussex with my wife Maureen. We have two sons Neil and Gavin , both married and we have two grandsons Nicholas who is seven and Joshua, five,. I was interested to hear of this site as we were bombed out on Friday 16th June 1944. We lived in Worcester Park in Surrey and were hit by the first flying bomb to land in the borough; I was eight years old, my brother John was eleven and my sister Teresa a babe in arms. Many years later I wrote my experience of that day and night for my own children to read and I acquired a photograph of the destruction from a newspaper which I scanned in to my computer. Unfortunately, being newsprint it is not very clear. I have contributed this as a personal story and would be very interested to hear from anybody else who has memories of that night and especially any pictures
