I鈥檓 honoured to have worked on People's War as a web assistant. My main duty was to categorise stories sent in and also respond to questions submitted to the research desks. Originally from Sydney, Australia I鈥檓 the grandson and nephew of veterans of the Kokoda Track, Papua-New Guinea campaign of July 1942-January 1943.
Curious to know what my grandfather and uncle had experienced, I have undertaken research in a large number of libraries and archives in Australia and Britain, acquiring a familiarity with research methods and practices. I have a particular interest in field work and would consider myself an intrepid explorer of the battle fields and historical sites in Australia, Britain, France, Belgium, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
