I live in Cambridge and come from a large Cambridgeshire family and I have my own young family. I have become involed in the WW2 People's War activities for both personal and proffesional reasons. My family have may stories to share about the war which I am helping them to record- in particular from my aunts, uncles and grandmother( now 89 )Members of my family also still hold very interesting and revealing letters written during the war. Another personal aspect which still today is having its effects on my father and as a result myself and sisters is that my grandfather was a Japanese prisoner of war and went through such harowing experiences that it has left a long lasting impression on our fathers side of the family.
Professionaly I work as an archaeologist and historian in Cambridgeshire and so am very interested in recording and researching all of this information.
