I spent most of the war in Morden except for one year when I was evacuated to Abergele in North Wales.
At my age the war was a great adventure and watching the con trails in the sky and hearing the bombs and doodle bugs did not represent the true meaning of danger to me. Probably a good thing but in retrospect I would like to have beeen a bit older so that I could now remember more. That is why a site like this is so good as it jogs the memory and old memories come to the surface.
