My dad and his family were evacuated to Churchdown, possibly Orchard way, during the war. A plane crashed near the Hare and Hounds pub in 1940 and I have a piece of propeller which my dad recovered from the crash site.
My dad's name was Ron Daniels, he was 7 in 1940 and his brother Ted was 10.
I am trying to find out more details about this crash and the plane involved. If anyone can help I would be very grateful.
