I'm writing this on behalf of my parents Cyril Crouch and Ruth Crouch (Groves).
Dad was a rear gunner on Lancasters. He came from a family of agricultural workers and so was in a reserved occupation. The only way he could enlist was to join Bomber Command as aircrew. This he did by raising his age and in 1944 became a rear gunner on Lancasters.
Dad's story is now on line under the title "Tail end Charlie - Lancaster Bombers."
Mum was 9 at the beginning of WW2 so only has snippets of memories. She didn't believe she had anything worth telling because she was a child at the time, but I think her snippets make interesting reading.
Mum's story is now on line under the title "A childs eye view of WW2 - Birmingham and Tonypandy, South Wales.
