I was a young lad during the war, living in Southend-on-sea, Essex. My father was in the Army working at Hanslope and Bletchley Park, picking up signals and passing them to the decoding teams using the ENIGMA machines at Bletchley Park.
I saw quit a few 'dog-fights' from a viewpoint on the cliffs not far from my home.
Vivid memories of the air-raids, the blackout and the comradeship that became part of our lives.
I am in the throws of writing my autobograph and in doing so have revived so many memories of the war years.
